In Clinic HQ, you must always indicate where/who a donation came from. Donations will come from either an individual or an organization.
In Settings > Grantors you can create and manage profiles of organizations and entities that donate via grants or foundational giving. When the entity sends a donation, record this donation by selecting the Donor Type as “Organization.” Then, choose from your existing grantors or set up a new grantor.

What is a Grantor?

In Clinic HQ, a Grantor is an agency such as Petco, a foundation such as Bissell, or a local regular donor/foundation. These entities give pre-paid donations/grants. Unlike a volume client, a grantor is typically not one who brings you animals nor will you invoice a grantor.
You will create Grantor profiles to log donations and grants received from this entity.
Why is this beneficial? Creating the grantor, allows you to collect contact information, send thank you emails, and track the grantor’s donations.

Create Grantor

Set up and manage your granting organizations in Settings > Grantors > Create Grantor
Fill in the relevant contact information and Save

Setup the grantor's profile in Settings.

The “Title” will be what is recorded on reports and what your clinic searches by when recording donations.

Once you have created the grantor profile, you can record donations/grants received from them. When the entity sends a donation, go to Take Donation. Choose the Donor Type as “Organization.” Then, type in the grantor title and select from your existing grantors.
