Print Cage Cards
- Go to https://clinichq.com/app#/checkout/paperwork
- Select the Correct Date, click Select All tick and click Print Selected button.
- Select your cage card under Custom Templates (assuming you have a cage card template).
- Assuming you’re using Chrome, on the print preview, click the printer icon.
- For pages per sheet, select 2. This will display the way it will look.
- For scale select Custom and change to 200. This will make the cards as big as they can be on one piece of paper.
- Ensure it’s not set to print on both sides, then click print.
- You’ll then use scissors to cut the sheets in half, and cut off the excess white area from the piece of paper. You do not want to cards too big, because when they are put on the kennel they may make it hard to see the animal. You also don’t want them too small, otherwise the print will be hard to read.
Note: we suggest printing a cage card for cats too that can be taped on the side of the cat carrier as a second form of ID, the first form will be a piece of masking tape.
Write out Neck Collars & Masking Tapes
- For dogs you can go ahead and pre-write out their neck collars.
- Next, paperclip them to the cage cards.
- For cats, write out masking tape with their first and last name. You can put the masking tape on clipboard so it can easily be peeled off.
- Often clinics will write out to masking tapes one to go on the top of the cat carrier, and one to go on the side in case one piece of tables off. It’s a huge timesaver to do all this work ahead of time.
Print out Treatment Sheets (Optional)
For clinics that are entirely paperless you do not need to do this step. For clinics that still rely on the paper treatment sheet, print out the treatment sheet and make a packet with the cage card in the neck collar. Note: We highly recommend using a monochromatic, laser printer. If you have a two page document, you’ll need a printer that can duplex, meaning print on both sides. We recommend this Brother printer.
To do this:
- Go to https://clinichq.com/app#/checkout/paperwork
- Select the Correct Date, click Select All tick and click Print Selected button.
- Select Treatment Sheet under HQ Templates, or if your clinic has it’s own treatment sheet, you would select that option instead.
