6. Making Recheck Appointments

Recheck Appointments to the Rescue—No, They’re Not for Regular Checkups

When an animal experiences any complications or problems related to their spay or neuter surgery, a recheck appointment will be scheduled. This could include an infected incision, lethargy, or any other issues resulting from the spay/neuter surgery. This feature can collect lots of stats on your spay/neuter surgeries, which is why recheck appointments can’t be used for just any checkup or wellness sort of appointment.

Scheduling a recheck appointment is simple, just follow these steps:

1. Open the Calendar
   Open the calendar in your dashboard, then click on the date you’d like to make the recheck appointment for.
2. Select Make Recheck Appointment. Recheck appointments are only applicable to successfully recorded spay/neuter surgeries. Any other type of recheck should be made as a wellness appointment.
3. Input Appointment Times
   Input the estimated start and end times for the appointment. These fields can be left intentionally blank if your clinic does not assign a time.
4. Select Client Type
5. Choose either the Public Client or Volume Client button.
6. Search for Animal and click Search Animals. Here you can search by animal name, number, or owner name. If you cannot find the animal, verify that a successful surgery has been recorded in your clinic’s database. Adjust search parameters to be more specific if there are too many results.
7. Make Appointment by selecting the correct animal, then click Make Appointment.
