Donation through Overpayment
This method of donating involves overpaying for the total services due on the visit. An overpayment can occur in two different scenarios:
Scenario 1: While the client is paying they opt to give you more money than the total of the visit.
The client owes $50 but gives you $100 and wants to make a $50 donation.
1. In checkout on the Financial screen, input $100 as the amount paid.
2. Now you will notice a new “Overpaid Options” button enabled.
3. Click the Overpaid Options button.
4. From the dropdown, select Apply Remainder to a Donation.
5. Select the pot to deposit funds into and click Make Payment.
Scenario 2: Services are not performed and the original deposit or direct payment exceeds the total of the visit.
Payment has already been taken and surgery is declined, services removed, or discounted.
1. Once services are removed or discounted, in Checkout on the Financial screen, the page will indicate the visit is overpaid.
2. Select the Repurpose button.
3. From the pop-up switch the action to Donation.
4. A dropdown menu will appear. Select the pot to place the donation into.
5. Finalize the action by clicking the red Repurpose Payment button.
