Understanding The Summary Reports
Surgery Summary
The surgeries summary breaks down the number of spays and neuters (separately) your clinic has done within a period of time, divided into species, which are divided into Adult, Juvenile, and No Data.
This report also shows the number of deceased animals in surgery. This shows the cause of death: Anesthetic Reaction, Euthanized per owner request, Hemorrhage, Pre-Existing Condition, Sepsis, Stress-exacerbated Disease, Surgical Complication, Undetermined. This then shows whether the death occurred during, before, or after the surgery.
1. The Surgeries report represents all successful surgeries. That excludes declined surgeries and deceased animals. It also excludes animals euthanized by owner request.
2. The report is broken down into different groups and subgroups. The first line of the report tells you how many successful surgeries you had during that period of time. After that, we’ve it broken down by Surgery type (Spay/Neuter). And then it’s further broken down into Animal Species and Age.
3. The distinction between Juvenile and Adult is made according to PetSmart Charities’ and ASPCA guidelines: All animals 5 months and younger are considered Juvenile.
4. Last, the Summary Report includes a deceased group, which is subdivided into different causes of death which will include the Euthanized by Owner Request.
Animal Summary
The Animals Group represents an aggregation of all animals seen by the clinic over a period of time. The report is grouped by Animal Type so you can check how many animals you have scheduled. There is no distinction between Wellness and Surgery. They all count towards the total. The same applies to Declined Surgeries.
1. This report is broken down into all Species. The first line tells you how many animals have visited the clinic in that period of time.
2. After that, you have the breakdown by species.
3. In the event that your clinic works with Cats, you will be able to tell how many Community Cats (Feral and Friendly).
4. The Animal report also includes other indications like Pregnant, In Heat, and Cryptorchid.
Appointments Summary
The appointment summary divides the appointments your clinic has had into Internal, Online, Spay or Neuter, Recheck, and Wellness.
1. The Appointments will include all appointments booked in that period of time.
2. The first line of the report shows how many recorded appointments you have.
3. It’s further divided into Internal and Online appointments, Surgeries (Spay/Neuter), Recheck and Wellness, and the available Appointment Types.
4. Each type is subdivided into possible statuses: Canceled, Checked Out, In Progress, and No shows (for Volume and Public).
This report is also useful to check how many appointments you have booked in the future!
