Previously called the “Jumbo Menu,” Quick Actions can now be found in Quick Search.
These actions act as a guide for where to go to schedule different types of appointments. Think of it as a “shortcut” to get to the starting point for many types of common scheduling scenarios.
The action menu is like a traffic director, pointing you to various directions of HQ
On any given day, spay/neuter and wellness clinics may experience a wide variety of workflows. Specifically, a patient may be there for a spay/neuter surgery or a scheduled routine exam. Or, your clinic may be holding a walk-in (or drive-by) vaccine clinic. You may also get walk-in clients looking to buy an e-collar, flea medication, or a T-shirt.
To help guide users to the correct workflow, we’ve condensed the most common actions into a tool. To get started, open Quick Search by pressing Ctrl + K on your keyboard, or click on the search bar at the top of the navigation menu.
- Take Donation: This shortcut allows you to quickly process a donation. Before accepting donations, you’ll need to set up a donation pot in Funding Partnerships.
- Spay/Neuter: This brings you to the Spay/Neuter Calendar where you can schedule an appointment.
- Shot Clinic: This shortcut takes you to a good starting spot for logging clients in if/when your clinic has a shot clinic. It allows you to find if a client/animal has previously been seen at your clinic and you can create a new appointment. Often, shot clinics are walk-in only (although we encourage you to use wellness scheduling features to allow for scheduled walk-in clinics).
- Walk-In Appointment: There’s another situation that may arise, which is a “walk-in” appointment for spay/neuter (or wellness). This tool is a flexible shortcut to start any appointment type.
- Scheduled Wellness: This tool lets you assign time slots to wellness appointments. For example, making a dental appointment at 1:00 pm.
- Over the Counter: Use this tool to sell something over the counter, like a T-shirt or e-collar. Something for which no client information, or patient information, is collected. This logs the financial transaction into the reconciliation end-of-day report.
- Appointment Changes: This tool takes you to a menu that allows you to reschedule, cancel or delete appointments.
Note: If your clinic uses time-based S/N scheduling, a shortcut will appear here for Scheduled Spay/Neuter. This is for the rare clinic that assigns times for spay/neuter appointments such as 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM. Most clinics do not schedule this way, but a few do. If you do not see this on your Jumbo menu, it means that your clinic does not have this option enabled in settings.
