Input codes here that can be output in a financial export with each item. These often correspond to QuickBooks account codes.
You will do this for each tab: Surgery types, Vaccines, Services, Products, and Item Sales.
Mapping QuickBooks®’ codes to Services and Products
If you use Quickbooks®, you can map your Products/Services to CHQ. That way, you can keep track of the receivables through the Financial Export.
This tutorial will walk you through this process.
Step-by-step guide:
1. First of all, you need to locate and click on the “Settings” link in the top navigational bar to be able to access the Settings section.
2. After that, you should be able to see your clinic’s profile. Locate the “Quickbooks” link in the left navigational bar and click on it.
3. You will see that the page now shows a data grid with rows that refer to your enabled Items.
4. This functionality will let you bind up to 4 codes corresponding to a single item, which you will be able to locate in your Financial Export. These should be the same codes you use in Quickbooks® — often called “Account Codes” in Quickbooks®.
After setting the codes, you’re done with the configuration.
5. To find the Financial Export, you need to click on the “Accounting” link in the top navigation bar. You should land on the Accounting Page after that.
6. The Financial Export should have a link in the left bar. When you click on it, you should be redirected to a page where you can filter your report.
7. You can filter by two different ranges of dates, by Payment Date and Appointment Date.
8. The report will be downloaded in Microsoft Excel® format.
9. After you download the file, you will find the codes you set in the last four columns of the report.
Importing data from the Financial Export to Quickbooks®
CHQ doesn’t offer support on importing data to Quickbooks®. If you have any doubts, please get support from your vendor.
The method used to import data into Quickbooks® is, of course, dependent on the software version you use and which data you want to pull in.
In HQ, we provide all the raw data you need. With the ability to insert Quickbooks® account codes, you can create an excel file with the item codes and values you want to import to Quickbooks®. It should match all columns from the form you want to import.
Here is a help document we’ve found which may provide insight into how to import your data into Quickbooks.
