How To Set Up A Volume Client With Their Own VCP

The process on the clinic’s end will always be the same when setting up a volume client to join the Portal with your clinic.
When the client receives the email invite they will have two options and the next pages of the manual will go over setup for each.

CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT

The VC has never used the Portal before.
OR

CONNECT ACCOUNT

The VC already has a Portal account because they take animals to another clinic that uses Clinic HQ. They need to link an existing Portal account to your clinic.

KEY POINTS FOR MULTI-CLINIC PORTAL SETUP

The Portal is designed to allow the volume client to have one login and account but access each of the appointments from different clinics. The user does not need to have a separate Portal login for wach clinic that they go to.

One Rescue/Shelter = One Portal
One Portal can have multiple users each with their own login as long as they beong to the same rescue/shetler.

How Your Client Signs into t`he VCP

After they’ve set up their credentials, the volume client will be taken to the main portal page. If not, they can navigate to “https://portal.clinichq.com”:http://portal.clinichq.com and log in. Here they input their login and password and click the Sign In button.

Once they are signed in, they will get little help messages to guide them in setting up their portal. These steps will be easier for them to explore if they already have appointments set up in HQ.

Resending The Signup Link

If your volume client says they did not receive the link, you’ll want to send them a new link. Once you send the link the first time, the volume client profile, Client Portal tab, will display a new button labeled Generate New Invite.

Resending a VCP signup link

To resend the link again, simply click the Generate New Invite button and input the email address again to send another invite. A new invite will be sent, and it will be logged under History. If your volume client still does not receive the email, have them double-check their spam folder. The email will be from portal@clinichq.com.

If your volume client has received the invite and logged in, it will update in the volume client profile client portal tab, indicating when they last logged in.
