The advanced wellness calendar in HQ is designed to support clinics with complex scheduling needs by allowing for detailed, time-based appointments for various wellness services. Unlike basic wellness, it enables the assignment of different room types and appointment categories. This section will explore the various features of the advanced wellness calendar, highlighting its ability to manage diverse appointment types and room requirements efficiently.

Understanding Appointment Types
Let’s have a look at what appointment types your clinic has set up. Each type of appointment speaks to its purpose and the amount of time the appointment should take. These appointment types are created by your clinic manager in Settings. To review the appointment types your clinic has set up, go HERE.
Note: Not all users have permissions to view settings. If you do not, skip this step and go back to the wellness calendar.
Understanding Room Types
Your clinic has the flexibility to determine which “rooms” will appear on your calendar, and these are shown as separate columns. Some clinics choose to repurpose rooms for use by veterinarians, which is perfectly acceptable. Take note of the rooms available on your clinic’s calendar, as each room can be designated for specific appointment types. For instance, a room labeled “dentals” can be restricted to only dental-related appointments.
Navigating the Wellness Calendar
Use the right and left arrows in the upper left corner to advance or go backward with the calendar.
- Click the 1, 5, 15, and 30 minute buttons to see how the view changes. This means it will display in 1-minute, 5-minute, 15-minute, or 30-minute time intervals on the calendar. Depending on how long your appointment durations are, changing to these views can help with properly slotting your schedule.
- Click the Month, Day, 3 Days, and Timeline buttons and notice how they display. The Agenda is a helpful tool for getting a list of appointments on any particular day. It also includes E-Appointment reservations that have not been confirmed, to avoid overbooking. If an appointment has (E-APP) in the title, it has yet to be confirmed.
- Notice there is also an e-apps button in the upper right of the screen. This will be discussed in the manual section on E-Appointment.
