Walk-Ins Welcome, But Still Need an Appointment for Smooth Sailing
Walk In appointments are when a client comes through the doors of your clinic requesting care for their animal. While this is a walk-in and cannot be scheduled ahead of time, it is still important to make an appointment for these clients to create their medical record and process them through patient flow.
Scheduling Walk-ins
- You can schedule a walk-in as any type of appointment and move them entirely through check-in and check-out. To do this, open Quick Search (Crtl + K) and click Walk-In Appointment.
- You will be brought to this screen, where you can choose the purpose of the appointment.
- Once the appointment type is chosen, you can fill in all of the information and make the appointment.
Why is it important to still make an appointment in HQ for a walk-in?
Making sure you create an appointment for walk-ins is important because it tracks the client and animal’s information in HQ and allows the appointment to be moved through Patient Flow. Every patient will still be checked in and checked out, expediting the process to create take-home paperwork, a medical record, and more.
