Donations through a Donation Campaign Widget
Clients can donate online anytime and any amount. You can also create a General Donation Widget for automatic recurring donations!
The campaign widget allows your clinic to collect donations through the E-appointment form or by embedding the widget URL on your website.
Donation Widget Setup
Follow the setup instructions for collecting donations HERE.
Where can the Donation Campaign Widget be used?
E-appointments – in the e-appointment form after the client submits their appointment request, the widget box will appear asking for a donation.
Clinic Website – imbed the widget link on your website with the unique URL provided with each campaign.
Emails – hyperlink text such as “Donate Now” in your reminder emails or newsletters and link the text to your website where the general widget was added.
Donation flow on Website
1. Select Donation Amount.
The donation widget will be displayed on your website. The donor will be prompted to choose the frequency of the donation and the donation amount. The frequency is one-time, monthly, or yearly.
Processing Fees with Donations
We have built into all widgets an ask of the donor to extend their donation to cover processing fees. This percentage is set to 3%, which we feel covers not only the actual fees but the prorated cost of credit card machines, paper back up slips and staff time processing donations. This amount cannot be adjusted.
2. Donor Details
First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, and Address are required. Once provided, click Next.
3. Payment Details
The full card number and details will be entered. Once provided, click Donate. The card will be charged immediately. The donation collected will appear on the Reconciliation, Financial Export, Donation report, and Funding Partnership history.
4. Thank You Email
The client will receive the typical emails associated with the e-appointment request. They will receive a separate email thanking them for the donation. The email is customizable in Settings > Donations > Widget > Edit Campaign > Thank You Email
Donation flow on E-appointments
1. Request Appointment
On the last step of the E-app form, the client will click “Request Appointment.”

3. Donor & Payment Details
The client’s contact details collected for the e-appointment will be used for the donation.
If the client has already entered their card information for the deposit, the donation widget will use that card.
If no deposit was required to schedule, the client will be prompted to enter their card information at this time.
4. Donation Charged
The donation will be charged right then. The donation collected will appear on the Reconciliation, Financial Export, Donation report, and Funding Partnership history.
The donation is secure regardless of when the clinic team confirms/cancels the e-appointment request. If the e-appointent request is canceled the donation will be left untouched.
5. Thank You Email
The client will receive the typical emails associated with the e-appointment request. They will receive a separate email thanking them for the donation. The email is customizable in Settings > Donations > Widget > Edit Campaign > Thank You Email
Goal Widget
A new ‘Goal Widget’ feature has just been released! With the great success of the ‘Donation Widget’, our team has created another option for any specific, meaningful objectives your clinic may have. This new widget is great for achieving a monthly goal, obtaining funds for an upcoming microchip or vaccine clinic, or even helping a certain patient in need! Your clinic can also send personalized goal widget links to their clients to post on social media for occasions such as birthday fundraisers.
Goal widgets are set up much like donation widgets, and there is a $100 minimum for the goal amount.
